froodle | (no subject)

Yay! Happy birthday me! A most rockin' day, despite shameful amounts of both work and rain. Now I have cool pirate gloves, a creepy doll, ribbon hedgehogs (I call them Sparkles and Danny) and the ability to watch my Dukes of Hazzard DVD without mentally imagining Selina leaning over my shoulder saying "It's not your birthday yet. Bad Froodle! Put that down! No Bo Duke for you!" In a few minutes, I shall go have a delicious Christmas-smelling bath and make myself a Santa beard out of bubbles. Because what's life if you can't pretend you're Santa in the bathtub?

In other news, every time somebody replies to my last post and I get that little "reply to your post" email from LJ, I open it up and the first thing that catches my eye is the phrase "Bondage!Clark". Damn you, LJ!

And also, damn Edna for making me sit next to Cricket today, making me all flustered and embarrassed. He called me by my name the other day and I had a total Ted from Scrubs moment standing there in the library like, "He knows you name!" Stupid Edna. Stupid Cricket. Stupid Cricket's naughtily rumpled suit.

I dunno, he just looks like a Danny. I was sitting there thinking, what shall I call you, tiny silver ribbon hedgehog? And the answer appeared in my mind: "Danny". And thus he is Danny, and so it ever shall be.

And no, of course I haven't called my LJ Bondage Clark, that would be silly. But you know when someone replies to a post on your LJ, it emails you your original post along with their comment? So when I open it, the first thing I see is the first line of my post, and my eye is automatically drawn to the phrase "Bondage Clark". Because, well, it's Clar in bondage.

And I hate you.

The ribbon hedgehogs are those little stick-on ribbon bow things you get for wrapping presents - kind of a little bundle of looped ribbon? When we were kids, my parents wouldn't let my brother and I have pets, so instead we used to collect those ribbons and pretend they were hedgehogs. We had a shoebox covered with wrapping paper that was their home, and a big gold and tarten ribbon hedgehog who was their King. To this day, I still save the ribbon hedgehogs when people put them on my gifts.

AH! That is possible the cutest story I've heard all week ♥ I'll never look at those ribbons the same way again!
